Euroconference on the interactions between innate and adaptive immunity in mammalian defense against bacterial infections.

Summary
This meeting brought together experts in the field with young scientists to discuss recent advances in our understanding of the interface between innate and adaptive immunity. These two arms of the defense system have for a long time been treated as separate entities, but the insight that both function in tight connection has spawned one of the most rapidly evolving fields of modern immunology. The keynote lectures are listed in the program, and the young scientists could discuss their work at poster presentations and during the extended discussion periods.
