General Practice Block Practical 2025

Registration for the General Practice Block Practical will begin on December 11, 2024 at 9:00 AM and will remain open until December 13, 2024, 12:45 PM.

You will receive an email with access details for the registration portal approximately one week beforehand.

Please check the email inbox you have registered with the Study Dean's Office.

Please contact the Study Dean's Office or Ms. Vietzke in the Department of General Practice well before registration if you are studying with a child or have a special study plan that needs to be considered.

After the Block Practical, please submit the logbook and, if applicable, the performance evaluation form (if not faxed to us by the teaching practice) to the Department of General Practice.

If desired, you can submit the documents by email, provided you observe the following:

• Attach each document as a separate file (e.g. 1 x Logbook, 1 x Grade, 1 x Confirmation Form = 3 attachments)

• Send the documents as PDF files (scan - preferably small file size; no photos!)

Otherwise, please submit in paper form.

Please use a scanner and not your mobile phone, unless you have a very good scanner app or are very proficient with it. For orientation: Confirmation Form approx. 300 KB or less, Grade approx. 900 KB (Comparison: Fax approx. 100 KB), Logbook around 1000 KB. Sending large files is not only expensive due to the required storage capacity but also harmful to the environment!

Travel expense claims must always be submitted in paper form.

Information for Teaching Physicians

The Block Practical lasts 2 weeks and the students keep a logbook. You should regularly review the logbook with the Block Practical student.

If a public holiday falls within the Block Practical, the Block Practical will be shortened accordingly.

You will assess the performance of your Block Practical students, which will contribute to the final grade.
