Podcast "Abhören an der Küste"

 - the Podcast for GPs

Two of our staff members Leonard & Julia are GP trainees and the hosts of the podcast "Abhören an der Küste", the podcast on postgraduate medical training in general practice in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Since April 2022, they have been talking to experienced GPs, as well as other GP trainees and scientists in a relaxed café atmosphere about important topics in general practice and the journey to become one. Their focus lies with training in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, for example: What are specific hurdles locally and how have other GP trainees dealt with them?

If you are around Greifswald or Neubrandenburg, you can listen to new and old episodes every second Thursday (odd calendar weeks) from 9 to 10 p.m. on the radio 98.1 FM.

Regardless of time and place, the episodes can be found in the Radio 98.1 media library and also via Spotify. You can also subscribe to the podcast in the podcast app of your choice.

What has been discussed so far? For example, in the second episode, the two spoke with Prof. Jean-François Chenot about research in general practice, the healthcare system and postgraduate training. They spoke with Bettina Haase from the Competence Centre for Postgraduate Medical Training in General Practice MV about the latter and what support possibilities they offer for GP trainees.

Episodes on the regional mentoring programme are also planned: What does mentoring mean? How can GP trainees take part? What is the goal of mentoring? Other topics include women & equality in general practice, challenges of owning a practice, ...
