IMPRO – Improved Management of Patients with Recent-Onset Stable Chest Pain

Project researcher: Prof. Dr. Chenot Dr. Julia Truthmann

Project lead: Prof. Dr. Annika Viniol (Marburg)

Study to improve the care of chest pain patients with suspected CHD. The aim is to investigate a new approach to CHD diagnostics and further care. The study consists of two phases:- Control phase: CHD diagnosis and further care as before- Intervention phase: Application of an alternative method for CHD diagnosis and further care (partly including a cardio-CT). At the end, both treatment methods will be compared with each other. The IMPRO study will be conducted in 16 regions, 300 practices and with several thousand patients from autumn 2025. The results are directly relevant to practice and can significantly improve GP care for CHD patients.
