Dual nursing trainee at UMG

Do you have a keen interest in laying the foundations for and further developing a well-founded, scientifically oriented and professional nursing practice without losing touch with direct patient care?

The 24-month trainee programme for university graduates with an interest in nursing studies and management at a university hospital offers you a structured training with a wide range of insights into the daily nursing routine at a maximum care university provider, extensive development opportunities, and a variety of tasks and projects.

Upon completion of the trainee programme, you will have acquired a wide range of knowledge about the following processes in the nursing division:

  • How does bedside care work? Where are critical interfaces for an optimal treatment process? Who needs to work together in interdisciplinary teams?
  • Broadening the range of tasks for nursing staff with academic degrees
  • Reflecting on one’s own nursing activities and adapting to the current state of research
  • Transfer of expertise into practice
  • Continuation of the quality management and quality assurance of the nursing division
  • Insights into the business areas of finance & controlling, patient management, process management, and care controlling
  • Teaching

We offer you:

  • On-the-job training with a high level of practical orientation through permanent assignment to a ward team. You will be a 50% member of a permanent nursing team and 50% of your time will be spent supporting the nursing division board.

    e.g. ICW certification, Palliative Care Nurse

Your qualifications and strengths:

  • Completed vocational training as a (paediatric) nurse
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in nursing and/or nursing management practical and/or theoretical expertise/experience in the health care sector
  • high motivation and performance orientation
  • entrepreneurial mindset and approach
  • strong analytical skills and structured approach to work; flexibility and high level of personal initiative
  • strong communication and teamwork skills
