Treatment / Therapy
Operative therapy
Stress urinary incontinence in women:
- Trans-Obturator-Tape (T.O.T.) "outside-in" approach; under inpatient conditions, under anaesthesia
Stress urinary incontinence:
- Implantation of an artificial sphincter (Scott-Sphinkter-System or FlowSecure System)
- Trans-Obturator-Tape "outside-in" approach
Urgency urinary incontinence:
- Intravesical botulinum toxin injection into the detrusor under inpatient conditions, under anaesthesia. Off-label use approach
- Sacral nerve stimulation/neuromodulation; a trial period of approximately 3 days and longer, then system implantation within the framework of a minimally invasive operation
- Bladder augmentation (partial bladder replacement) in patients with urinary incontinence due to a low compliance bladder
Note: All forms of urinary incontinence are basically conservative in our facility.
