Einladung: Greifswald Young Investigator Forum - Thema: Immune defense against infections
Liebe Forscherinnen und Forscher,
das Greifswald Young Investigator Forum ist ein neues Format für den wissenschaftlichen Austausch an der UMG und UG auf der Ebene der Post-Docs und Nachwuchsgruppen-Leiter*innen.
Dieses Forum dient als Plattform für die Vernetzung, den Austausch von Projektideen sowie die Initiierung von Kooperationen auf PostDoc-Ebene. Die Vorträge werden von Nachwuchswissenschaftler*innen gehalten, aber das Forum ist offen für alle, die an einem wissenschaftlichen Austausch interessiert sind.
Das zweite Forum findet am 16.4.2024 von 12:30 – 17 Uhr im neuen Zentrum für Life Science und Plasmatechnologie (Z4L) in Greifswald statt und hat den Titel: „Immune defense against infections“.
Hier wollen wir Wissenschaftler*innen aus Greifswald (UG, UMG) und vom Friedrich-Loeffler-Institut (FLI) kennenlernen, die sich mit der angeborenen und adaptiven Immunantwort gegen bakterielle und virale Infektionen beschäftigen. Das vorläufige Programm finden Sie im Anhang.
Um den Austausch zwischen allen Teilnehmer*innen noch zu intensivieren, werden wir außerdem ein neues Format einführen: die Rapid Session. Hier haben alle Teilnehmer*innen, egal ob Masterstudierende, PhDs, PostDocs, Gruppenleiter*innen, Professor*innen, die Möglichkeit ihr Forschungsfeld, ihre Expertise und gesuchte Kooperationen in einem 3-minütigem Kurzvortrag zu präsentieren.
Aus organisatorischen Zwecken bitten wir Sie uns bis zum 29.2.2024 mitzuteilen,
(1) ob Sie an dem Forum teilnehmen möchten und
(2) ob Sie Ihre Forschungsprojekt in einer Rapid Session vorstellen möchten.

Invitation: Greifswald Young Investigator Forum - Topic: Immune defense against infections
Dear researchers,
the Greifswald Young Investigator Forum is a new format for scientific exchange at UMG and UG at the level of post-docs and junior research group leaders.
This forum serves as a platform for networking, the exchange of project ideas and the initiation of collaborations at postdoctoral level. Talks are presented by young scientists, but the forum is open to anyone interested in scientific exchange.
The second forum will take place on 16.4.2024 from 12:30 - 17:00 at the new Center for Life Science and Plasma Technology (Z4L) in Greifswald and is entitled: "Immune defense against infections".
We will get to know scientists from Greifswald (UG, UMG) and the Friedrich-Loeffler-Institute (FLI) who are working on the innate and adaptive immune response against bacterial and viral infections. The preliminary program is attached to this email.
In order to intensify the exchange between all participants, we will also introduce a new format: a Rapid Session. All participants, whether Master students, PhDs, PostDocs, group leaders or professors, will have the opportunity to present their field of research, their expertise and desired collaborations in a 3-minute short presentation.
For organizational purposes, we kindly ask you to let us know by 29.2.2024
