- Research focus: (Further) development and implementation of a pipeline for automatic generation of a FAIR graph database, incl. consolidation of heterogeneous data from diverse sources
- Design of methods and implementation of a tool for semantic enrichment of the stored biomedical research data with quality metrics and provenance information
- Integration and expansion of software tools already existing in the consortium, e.g., for quality control and distributed data requests
- Concept and prototypical realisation of a clinic-internal information portal based on the research data infrastructure of the UMG-DIC
- Regular presentation of results on scientific conferences and publication in scientific journals
- Contribution to teaching (optional), supervision of PhD and undergraduate students
- Contribution to establishing graph databases and FAIR principles in biomedical research
Requirements:
- Master degree in computer science, bioinformatics, medical informatics or a comparable field is required and must be proven
- A doctorate or comparable experiences are desirable
- Experiences in topics (biomedical) databases or scientific software development are required and must be proven (e.g., with project repositories (github or similar) or publications)
- Programming skills (e.g., Python, R, Java, C++) are mandatory and must be proven, e.g., with references to software projects or publications
- Research interest and the ability to work autonomously are required
- Interest in high-quality scientific software solutions following data protection by design is required
- English skills or German skills are required
- Knowledge in the topics graph databases, data integration, semantic enrichment/ontologies, provenance are desirable
