  • Title: EvoNEST: a modular open-source software for integrated organismal data management and analysis
  • Where:  online

In scientific research, the ability to manage, document, and share data and metadata effectively is critical. Data on biological systems has its own challenges, as each sample is unique but also part of a nested data-structure. EvoNEST is a web application designed to streamline the management, analysis, and visualization of research data from the sample collection to the final output. EvoNEST serves as a centralized platform where researchers can upload, store, and categorise specimen, traits, and documents, within a user-friendly interface. The app streamlines the storage and analysis of traits and experiments, and the upload of the obtained traits to exter-nal database. All of this is conducted through the use of open-source software, and in accordance with the FAIR data principles, ensuring a transparent and open sharing of the data and of the app itself.
