Our next MILA-Seminar will take place on February 20th, 2023, from 2-3 p.m., Dr. Emma Tonkin presents: Should you get a PET? Data curation and publication in a digital health context.

Computational approaches to digital health and associated goals, such as healthy lifestyle management, increasingly call for the collection of broad and heterogeneous datasets that often combine sensor data from the body or environment with participant-generated annotation, such as diaries. This seminar explores the personal nature, sensitivity and re-identifiability of examples drawn from recent research projects, acknowledging the challenges of interdisciplinary work. We describe our approach to reaching consensus via case studies, employing discussion, outreach, literature review and risk analysis.
