Luis Marco Ruiz states that clinical data has the potential to improve personalized healthcare and discover new disruptive treatments in healthcare. However, making clinical data available for these purposes requires extensive resources to establish adequate strategic, governance, and technical frameworks that maximize clinical data availability and quality. To that end, the secondary use of clinical data is an objective reflected in most national strategies for digitalization in the healthcare sector. The seminar will cover general case studies to learn how to better plan the implementation of infrastructures for reusing clinical data for research and public health. Thus, aiming to effectively govern clinical data as a strategic asset.
