The National Research Data Infrastructure for Personal Health Data (NFDI4Health) aims to create a comprehensive federated national research data infrastructure for epidemiological, public health and clinical trials conducted in Germany. The project outcomes will improve population health through better and broader data re-use, a privacy-compliant centralised data catalogue with search functionalities, data access management, and a data analysis toolbox.
NFDI4Health will increase the visibility and accessibility of research data, enhancing the reputation of scientists sharing their data and fostering new collaborations. The resulting infrastructure will build bridges between user communities and data holders from epidemiology, public health and clinical trials.
MILA is contributing to Task Area 2 “Standards for FAIR Data”, discussing data and metadata standards and integration, and Task Area 4 “Community & Networking”, providing training and education for the health research community and beyond, focusing on the FAIR data principles.
