Profile
I am a researcher at the University Medicine Greifswald. I am interested in the development of data integration solutions and knowledge graphs.
My work focuses on the integration and connection of heterogeneous data sources. Graph databases provide an optimal storage concept for heterogeneous, highly connected data. In particular, the connection of medical data and systems biology data can gain new insights about diseases and facilitate the reuse of existing data and computational models in systems biology.
As a member of the HealthECCO organisation I am actively involved in the graph community. HealthECCO aims to support science and research by providing graph technologies. I have been involved in the integration of different heterogeneous data sources into a COVID-19 knowledge graph.
Currently, I am mainly working on the applicability/adaptability of graph-based concepts to the question of how to identify similarities between clinical and health studies.
