What we are researching
Our research combines sophisticated assessment and analysis methods with health psychological theory and the views of people in the population. We investigate the interaction of behavioral, psychological, and social determinants of health and disease trajectories. We use these findings to develop and test population-oriented interventions to motivate health-promoting behavior and new health care concepts. In our current research projects, we are supported by funding from the German Cancer Aid, the German Research Foundation, and the Innovation Fund, among others. You can find out more about our research here:
Our research covers a wide range of content and methods, from ants that can shorten questionnaires to zero-inflated models for count data.
The continuous dissemination of our research findings is a central component of our scientific activities.
We successfully collaborate with national and international researchers to improve population health.
Supervision of doctoral and master theses
We supervise theses in the field of community medicine. > Here you can find an overview of our current projects.
