Alexander Kellmann (M.Sc.) is a PhD student at the University of Groningen and works at the Department of Genetics at the University Medical Center Groningen.
During his PhD, he was involved in the EU-funded Horizon 2020 projects EUCAN Connect and CINECA.
Interested in the combination of chemistry and informatics, he previously studied chemistry in Göttingen and informatics for the natural sciences in Bielefeld.
His current research interests include focus on graph databases, ontologies, and semantic web technologies.
His main PhD project was the development of Graph2VR, a prototype to visualise and explore Linked Data in Virtual Reality.
In his presentation, Alexander will showcase Graph2VR, demonstrating its ability to visualise and explore graph databases interactively in a VR environment.
