Greifswald University Hospital treats around 180,000 patients at its 21 specialist clinics in the university and Hanseatic city and has 919 beds and 37 treatment places in 3 day care clinics. Currently, there are 1,316 students of human medicine and 282 students of dentistry at UMG.

Greifswald University Hospital focuses on three main areas: research, teaching and patient care are united under one roof. This is closely aligned with our vision of expanding competitiveness in the focus areas, further improving Greifwald’s national and international visibility as a medical and research hub, and conducting translational medical research even more intensively, which directly benefits health care for our patients on site. As the largest employer in the Western Pomerania region, Greifswald University Hospital offers interesting tasks and activities in a modern working environment.

Reconciling work and family life is integral to our HR policy: we offer active support through our “PFIFF” service office, e.g. in finding childcare places or schools and offering guidance on finding accommodation.
